It's a very simple game. I don't understand why you have to press V, B, or N instead of actually clicking on them, and then going right into the game using the mouse.
The colors (Gold 'n' Blue) really are nice colors. I like the ship, but I think the blue dude should be a ship also.
The hit testing is quite off. Consider fixing (Or redoing that). It gets a little annoying. It's like you have to aim below the coin to collect it.
The text is fine, but it's small and hard to read.
I love the moving background. :)
I would also recommend adding music and sound effects.
Also, where's the title screen?

Overall it has potential, but needs some touching up and tweaking.

I love how the first tag is Spam.
BTW, I must tell you, Little-Rena, this game was the game that encouraged me to continue making my Minecraft game. So I must thank you for that :)

lol spam tag

Weeiiirrdd! I made a 'similar' game with this same title about the same thing many years ago!
I like your game. It's quite simple (unlike mine), and even though it's not polished to perfection, I enjoyed it! I loved the twist, but I really think there should be an ending scene!

Great job

Very good tutorial! I'm sure this will help many people in the future.
But I recommend taking some extra time to make this look nice though; add graphics for the object, make the font more exciting, and put the code snippets in Input Components. Also, you can make a 'copy to clipboard' button too.

Fantastic!

I seem to ramble in this review:
%u2022 So much information and (I believe) accuracy!
%u2022 It's a very good way to learn about the world around us.
%u2022 I have seen the first version, and I loved it. I'm surprised you were able to make it even better!
%u2022 It's amazing how it doesn't lag being so "Big" of a project! (Get it?)
%u2022 I like how you make the background change moods from close to far.
%u2022 Beautiful vector graphics!
%u2022 Also I love how you added a Minecraft world feature to it. Haha!
%u2022 I learned things I'd have never known.

It's okay

It seems like the overall game play is choppy, and weird. The hitTest's are off or something. In my opinion, this game could be better if the frame rate was set to somewhere about 24.

As I'm typing this review, I'm noticing how the goat is starting to get higher and higher on the screen.

But I really like the graphics!

I've never got this to work.

Hey people, please stop writing reviews on it. If it doesn't work yet, then just don't review it. I just wanted to point that out (hypocritically of course).

I think Tom should take this off his home page until it works.

Review this "app" when it works, not when it's broken. Because it's not going to be broken for the rest of Newgrounds' life.

Meanwhile, developers, make a new one so we don't have to endure this.

Pretty classic

It's not terrible, but there could be many ways to improve.

It can be very fun to play around with music. I think people will enjoy fooling around with it. But I definitely recommend adding maybe different sounds (you'd probably have to rewrite the entire program), keyboard note (like you said), metronome, and volume slider.

LUK4IS responds:

I'll keep that in mind for the next version.

Amazing

I love this, it's really fun!

At first I was skeptical: seeing the name of the title and the "first game" line, but once I started playing, I realized how fun this game is! I love how it goes to the music so well! The only thing I think needs work is the graphics...
The title credits and whatnot was also nice. It shows that even though you spent a good 25 hours on it, you really made a point to touch it up!

Keep up the good work!

I Facebook liked it for you too ;)

Concept

I like the concept a lot, but it needs to be finished.
The beginning was deep and meaningful, but at the end, I really did want to escape.

You need something that brings the players back to play again.

Now focus on the concept, and try to make the game more... epic if you will :)

viewtifulday responds:

Well, the whole goal of the game is to escape--going through the levels is pointless, because you can press the Escape key from the very beginning. It's just meant to make you think a little differently about your goals-- you get to choose them after all.

Game developer and music producer! I made the Mine Blocks game(s).
